Frequently Asked Questions
Is the fragrance-free variant truly hypoallergenic for sensitive skin?
Yes. The Fragrance Free formula contains no added perfumes and is made for people with sensitive skin, eczema, or allergies, so it is gentle enough for nursery laundry and baby clothes.
Will the sheets leave any residue that could irritate my skin?
No. The sheets dissolve fully in any water temperature and rinse clean, so you will not feel a waxy film on towels, pajamas, or pillowcases after washing.
Can I use this on baby clothes and crib sheets?
Yes. The gentle, fragrance-free formula is suitable for infant clothing, swaddles, and crib linens, making it a clean choice for a nursery routine.
Does the Fresh Scent option use harsh synthetic fragrance?
The Fresh Scent is light and designed to be pleasant without being overpowering, but if you are highly sensitive to perfumes, we recommend the Fragrance Free version.
Can the sheets help with my wind-down laundry ritual?
Many customers pair a Fragrance Free wash with their own essential oils or dryer sheets, so the laundry does not compete with a calming bedtime routine.
Is this a good choice if I have eczema or contact dermatitis?
If you are looking for a detergent that is gentle enough for eczema-prone or reactive skin, the Fragrance Free variant is a strong fit because it skips common irritants like dyes and perfumes.
Will the detergent trigger my seasonal allergies?
The Fragrance Free formula is designed to avoid common allergy triggers, so it is a good option if strong scents set off sneezing or headaches.
How does this compare to 'free and clear' liquid detergents?
Like leading free-and-clear liquids, the Fragrance Free sheets avoid dyes and perfumes, but they also eliminate the heavy jug and the pour-and-guess step.
Is this better than pods for someone with sensitive skin?
Pods often contain extra coating or fragrance that can irritate skin. PureTide sheets use a simpler ingredient list and rinse fully clean, which many sensitive-skin customers prefer.
Will the sheets bother my pets that sleep on the fresh laundry?
The Fragrance Free formula is mild and unscented, so it is a good option for pet bedding and for households where animals curl up on clean blankets.
How do I use the laundry sheets in a standard washing machine?
Tear one half-sheet for a regular load or two half-sheets for heavily soiled laundry. Place them directly in the drum before adding clothes, then run your cycle on any water temperature. The sheets dissolve fully during the wash.
How many loads does each box cover?
The 40-count box covers 40 standard loads, the 80-count box covers 80 loads, and the 240-count box covers 240 loads when you use one half-sheet per wash.
Can I use these in a high-efficiency (HE) front-load washer?
Yes. The sheets are low-sudsing and compatible with HE top-load and front-load machines, so you can use them in any modern washer without triggering a suds-lock error.
Do the sheets work in hot, warm, and cold water?
Yes. They dissolve in seconds in any water temperature, so you can run a cold eco-cycle, a warm everyday wash, or a hot sanitizing cycle with the same result.
What is included in the box when it arrives?
Each box contains the stated number of pre-cut laundry sheets in a resealable inner pouch, all packaged in a recyclable outer cardboard box. No measuring cup or extra accessories are required.
Are the sheets septic-safe and greywater-safe?
Yes. The formula is designed to be biodegradable and is safe for septic systems and standard household plumbing when used as directed.
Will the sheets leave white marks or residue on dark clothing?
No. The sheets dissolve completely during the wash cycle, so you will not see streaks, film, or leftover pieces on darks, towels, or activewear.
How are these different from traditional liquid laundry detergent?
Liquid detergent usually comes in a heavy plastic jug, requires measuring, and can spill. PureTide sheets arrive in a flat recyclable box, come pre-cut for easy dosing, and cannot leak, while delivering the same cleaning power.
